Mizuno Offers A Fresh Breath

May 5, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

Mizuno has introduced Breath Thermo, a material designed to adjust its temperature based on the wearer’s body heart.

Breath Thermo, available in sportswear and underwear for colder climate conditions, characteristically changes the moisture absorbed from the body, converting it into heat.

According to Mizuno, approximately 700 to 900 ml. of moisture evaporates from the surface of an adult’s skin every day, even when the person is not perspiring.

Breath Thermo is designed to absorb this moisture in order to generate about two degrees of heat that will be sustained throughout the wearing of the garment. It is also designed to reduce the humidity between skin and fabric by about 20 per cent to offer warmth, dryness and comfort.

The yarn is treated so it doen’t expand, trapping heat inside the fabric to allow for continuous warmth.

The Breath Thermo Mock and Breath Thermo X-Treme Mock are among the offerings.
