The new Nike Air Zoom TW 2009 combines leather and Ballistic Mesh technology in a lightweight shoe that is designed to provide sophistication and luxury to golfers such as Tiger Woods, who will wear this product when he returns to action next year.
One of the features of the Air Zoom TW 2009 is a lateral stabilizer above the outsole to prevent roll during weight transfer, leading to better balance for more power in the swing.
The lateral stabilizer is designed to be particularly critical during the follow-through when weight is moved off the centre of the shoe’s footbed and pressure is applied to the upper part of the shoe, an area not normally designed to deal with such lateral forces.
Made from TPU, the lateral stabilizer is designed to work in conjunction with the Ballistic Mesh to provide support without sacrificing comfort. The mesh is treated with a Repel DuPont Teflon finish to provide stain and water resistance to keep feet dry in all conditions.
The Air Zoom TW 2009 also includes Nike’s tri-density Power Platform technology, Zoom Air technology, Champ Scorpion Stinger spikes and a 100 per cent waterproof Sympatex membrane.
Colours available include black/metallic silver, Baroque brown/bronze and white/gunmetal silver.
