Available in five colourways, light is the key word with the introduction of the new adizero footwear collection from adidas Golf.
The adizero Tour is 38 per cent lighter than the Tour360ATV, with the thinnest outsole ever produced by adidas at 1.2 m.m.
“I’m always looking to add comfort and lightweight elements to my game. Rounds on the course get long and it’s vital to have footwear that helps you perform,” said Sergio Garcia.
The key component to adizero is a new anatomical last and Sprintframe outsole to reduce shoe weight.
The Sprintweb internal TPU layer is in place to provide upper support during lateral movements, while a new microfibre leather Sprintskin works to provide consistent fit with no water uptake and durability.
“By using only what was absolutely necessary in adizero, we are able to give golfers a superior fit, super lightweight comfort and natural stability that results in less fatigue and more energy savings at the end of each round,” said Bill Price, vice president of adidas Golf Footwear.
Also available is the adizero Sport that is built on the Supernova running last for a sneaker-like feel. Made of light, breathable mesh and microfibre leather construction, it weights in at 9.5 ounces and has a six-spike outsole.
For women, adidas is releasing an adizero Tour model with a six-cleat outsole that weighs just 9.2 ounches and comes in three colourways.
