Cobra Puma Golf has introduced the Heritage Collection that includes a limited edition Wood Grain King F7 driver, a chestnut herringbone pattern driver cap, as well as apparel and footwear.
The collection is designed to celebrate the rich history of golf, with a nod to its icons. To bring the collection to life, Cobra Puma Golf is teaming up with Bryson DeChambeau for this tribute to the game and its bygone era with “throwback” style and equipment.
The Cobra King F7 Wood Grain driver provides modern technology, but is cosmetically altered to give the appearance of a crafted persimmon driver head.
In addition, during round one of the 2017 RBC Heritage, CeChambeau will be outfitted from head to toe in a heritage look, featuring a Puma Golf button cardigan, tailored Golf Chinos, Ignite Spikeless Sport shoes in a throwback brown colourway and his trademark Tour driver cap, designed with a sophisticated chestnut herringbone fabric.
The Heritage Collection includes:
Cobra King F7 Driver, Limited Edition Throwback
Puma Ignite Spikeless Sport shoes (brown)
Puma Tour driver cap, Limited Edition Throwback
Puma tailored golf chino , White Pepper
Puma Stretch Belt (Quarry/Oatmeal/Peacoat)
The King F7 Wood Grain driver features an adjustable weight system with three centre of gravity settings in the front, back and heel positions to allow for three differing ball flights – low, high and draw – to provide for varying distance and trajectory in a variety of conditions.
The heavier 12g weight in the front CG position creates a lower, penetrating ball flight with less spin and more roll for maximum distance.
The heavier weight can be placed in the back position for a higher, towering ball flight with added spin for more carry distance and increased forgiveness. When moved to the heel CG position, it works to reduce spin to deliver straighter drives and correct a slice.
This driver also boasts the Cobra Connect Powered by Arccos system which features an ultralight sensor embedded in the grip to allow golfers to automatically track the distance and accuracy of every drive.
Cobra Connect users simply pair their club with the free Arccos Driver smartphone app to receive their performance data, access rangefinder GPS distances for 40,000 courses and compete in the King of the Hole virtual long drive competition.
This driver also features a re-engineered Forged Ti-811 E9 Face that is lighter, thinner and hotter to create faster ball speeds and a larger Sweet Zone across the face.
A multi-material TeXtreme Carbon Fiber Crown frees up discretionary weight, allowing Cobra engineers to create three distinct CG positions and three performance distances.
MyFly8 with SmartPad technology affords golfers the choice of eight loft settings (9.0, 9.5, 9.5D, 10.5 , 10.5D, 11.5 , 11.5D and 12 degrees) to fine-tune launch conditions and maximize distance while keeping the club head square at address.
