Galvin Green has assembled its largest choice of garments and matching accessories for serious golfers to “Gear Up,” to borrow from the line’s latest campaign, next season.
The 2014 line includes almost 300 different jackets, trousers, pullovers, sweaters, body warmers, shirts, slacks, skorts, shorts, hats, caps, gloves and socks, plus more than six times that number of size options.
Each of the 213 brand new Galvin Green garments and matching accessories has passed the extreme quality control tests to qualify for inclusion, including high levels of exposure to water, moisture and numerous wash cycles, plus play-test sessions.
“With every new collection we strive for perfection,” said chief designer Mats Lundqvist.
“It’s about game improvement and enabling serious golfers to achieve their maximum performance level by layering correctly. Some may say we have pushed the latest range to the limit, but we say, golf demands it,” added Lundqvist.
Highlights include new versions of the men’s Alex and women’s Ava Gore-Tex rainwear jackets with mesh lining, Aron and Abby Paclite full zip jackets with stretch fabrics, Byron and Blaise Windstopper jackets, Davis and Dakota Insula pullovers, Millard and Marielle Ventil8 shirts and an extended range of Ventil8 slacks, Capri pants and skorts.
Size options go up to 26 versions on Alf waterproof trousers, while the Art rain jacket has eight. There is also an expanded range of junior outfits and practical accessories.
“We have started introducing and selling the 2014 Spring/Summer Collection and the interest from pros across the country has been very strong,” said Jonathan Wong, president of Galvin Green Canada.
“Not only has brand awareness increased for Galvin Green outerwear, but our men’s and ladies’ golf shirt, shorts, pants, skorts and accessories lines are highly visible and in demand,” added Wong, adding that other company events are transpiring as well.
Galvin Green player ambassador Rebecca Lee-Bentham is in the hunt to retain her LPGA Tour card for 2014 as she heads to the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship later this month.
Player ambassador Riley Wheeldon also earned his 2014 WebDotCom card as a top five finisher on the PGA Tour Canada Order of Merit this season.
In Canada, Chris James is the new Galvin Green sales rep for British Columbia, while Francois Ducharme from Montreal is now looking after the Quebec territory.
New colours for 2014 include spicy orange, spring green, Capri blue, purple rain and platinum, plus favourites such as Swedish blue, midnight blue, platinum and electric red.
The new collection is being promoted with an image-focused Gear Up campaign that includes the brand’s first consumer look book, a 36-page illustration of the multi-layer concept in action.
The book offers smartphone scanning access to a video showing the garments.
