Ashworth Golf has announced the release of the next stage of the Ashworth Majors Series, highlighted by two limited-edition golf shirts inspired by The Open Championship victories of Stewart Cink (2009) and Justin Leonard (1997).
Incorporating elements specific to each player’s major tournament win. Each shirt in the series is individually numbered inside of the placket, with the total quantity produced matching the winning player’s total score.
Cink’s limited-edition piece, limited to 278 total units, features his signature embroidered inside the back neck, contrast threading and piping.
It has the date of his major championship stamped on the second placket button and the Ashworth Majors Series patch on the right sleeve.
“Ever since I’ve started wearing Ashworth, the fit and feel have become exactly what I’m looking for in my apparel,” said Cink.
“I’m truly humbled that Ashworth has created a piece honoring my major championship victory and I’m honoured to wear it at the Open Championship in July.”
Leonard’s commemorative shirt is limited to 272 units, matching his winning score at The Open Championship in 1997.
Including design elements similar to Cink’s golf shirt, Leonard’s limited-edition piece has his embroidered signature in the back neck, contrast threading and piping and a left chest pocket.
It also has the date of his major championship victory stamped on the second placket button and the Ashworth Majors Series patch on the right sleeve.

“To have a shirt designed specifically to commemorate one of the greatest days of my career is remarkable, and I’m proud to wear it as I look to win my second major championship this summer.”
Both Cink and Leonard will wear their golf shirts during first round play at the at Royal Liverpool.
