JPSM Sales and Marketing is introducing the Motocaddy S5 Connect to the Canadian market, a Smart Cart that provides golfers with GPS information and smartphone alerts throughout their round.
The new Motocaddy S5 Connect is the most technologically advanced model in the Motocaddy range and a world first in the trolley sector.
The S5 Connect can be synced to the fully-featured Motocaddy GPS app via a Bluetooth connection on any compatible smartphone, allowing the trolley’s digital display to be used in place of a conventional GPS, offering front, middle and back distances to the green along with par of the hole, plus a clock and round timer.
“GPS technology is constantly changing and improving,” said Joseph McLuckie, president of JPSM Golf.
“Built in GPS can become obsolete in a couple of years, but by pairing the S5 trolley with GPS mapping technology through a smartphone app, our clients will always remain current with evolving GPS innovations. It’s the best of both, the market leader in motorized trolleys and the world leader in golf mapping technology,” he added.
The S5 Connect can also receive notifications alerting the golfer of an incoming call, text, email or range of app alerts, including WhatsApp and Facebook. The mobile phone can remain connected even when securely placed in the pocket of a golf bag or being charged by the trolley’s patented USB charging port.
The S5 Connect includes the modern look and features found on the latest Motocaddy S-Series models, including a soft-touch ergonomic handle; streamlined battery tray; Adjustable Distance Control (up to 50 yards) and the exclusive, fast Quikfold mechanism.
“The S5 Connect is at the forefront of golf technology and we’re proud to be pioneering the next generation of electric trolleys,” said Tom Webb, managing director of Motocaddy.
“It acts as the ultimate caddy for any golfer out on the course, as it carries your bag and gives you accurate yardages. We’ve partnered with a world-renowned golf GPS mapping company in the United States to provide the most advanced technology ever found in a combination of a golf trolley and mobile phone app,“ he said.
“We’re certainly not encouraging golfers to keep checking their phones during play. On the contrary, we believe the S5 Connect could actually reduce phone use because it tells you all you need to know and can be pre-set to let you focus on your game,” he added.
In addition to the standard model, the S5 Connect will also be available in Canada with DHC (Down Hill Control). The DHC model features a new E-brake (Electronic Brake) and has an upgraded motor (230 watts vs. 200 watts) and an upgraded lithium battery (Ultra vs Standard).
