A lawsuit and countersuit between former PGA Tour player Richard Zokol and the Sagebrush Golf and Sporting Club in Merritt, B.C., have been dropped, according to a release issued by Zokol on Thursday.
An agreement was reached between the two parties on Sept. 10, according to the statement.
“I am pleased to say the dispute is over,” said Zokol, the co-founder and co-designer of Sagebrush.
“Sagebrush is a remarkable facility. I am hopeful Sagebrush can realize its potential for the future,” he added.
Zokol launched a civil lawsuit against Sagebrush in March, 2014, claiming special damages, including a design fee of $200,000 he alleges he was never paid.
Zokol left Sagebrush in 2012 after a dispute with ownership and now works at Predator Ridge in Vernon, B.C.
In May of 2014, the owners of Sagebrush announced that they were suing Zokol for more than $42-million.
Both parties agreed that the claim and counterclaim be dismissed without costs of either party.
