After leading Australia to a comeback win at the World Amateur Team Championships in Japan, Minjee Lee has announced that she will turn professional.
She is expected to make her first start as a pro at next week’s Evian Championship in France.
Lee had been world No. 1 when she made the announcement, with Brooke Henderson, 16, of Smiths Falls, Ont., in second, but Henderson will move into the No. 1 position when the list is updated later this week.
Henderson played a big role in Canada’s second place finish at the World team event and finished as low individual.
