Brooke Henderson is back in familiar territory at the midway point of the Cambia Portland Classic.
Gunning for her third consecutive championship, Henderson is tied for the lead going into the weekend after she shot her second consecutive five-under 67 of the tournament.
Henderson tripped out of the gate with a bogey on the first hole on Friday, but birdied the fourth and fifth holes before a bogey on six brought her back to even par on the day. A birdie on seven left Henderson at one under as she made the turn.
After a hole-out eagle on the par four 11th, she added another birdie on 12 Two consecutive birdies on 14 and 15 led to her final bogey on the day at 16 to leave her tied with American Stacy Lewis and South Korea’s In Gee Chun atop the leaderboard, all at 10 under and two shots ahead of the rest of the field.
Alena Sharp had a double bogey on her final hole to finish the day with a 71. At four under, she’s tied for 24th going into the weekend.

Brittany Marchand of Orangeville, Ont., and Samantha Richdale of Kelowna, B.C., are each tied for 16th going into the weekend at the Sioux Falls GreatLife Challenge in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Marchand sho a one-under 70 in Friday’s second round, while Richdale finished the day with a 71. Both are at one under after two rounds.
