CE Franklin has become a sponsor of the 2009 CN Canadian Women’s Open, which will be held at Priddis Greens Golf and Country Club near Calgary in early September.
The sponsorship with the Royal Canadian Golf Association includes onsite branding, pro-am playing privileges, branding on collateral material and corporate hospitality programming
CE Franklin, a supplier of products and services to the energy industry, will also sponsor autograph alley, a place where spectators can interact with players from the LPGA Tour.
According to Mike Boyles, vice president of brand development for CE Franklin, one of the big reasons the company was attracted to the event was that the Alberta Children’s Hospital will be the designated community charity for the CN Miracle Match Program.
“When we evaluated the CN Canadian Women’s Open as a potential sponsorship property, what excited us most was the opportunity to be a part of an event that was investing so heavily in the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation,” said Boyles.
“The event is committed to making a difference in the Calgary community and we are proud to be a part of this initiative that will benefit one of Canada’s most outstanding children’s hospitals,” he added.
The program encourages public donations in support of the children’s hospital before and during tournament week, with those donations matched by title sponsor CN.
