Mike Weir did it in bunches, but the final result was a second round, four-under 68 on Friday that left him in a tie for 24th at the CIMB Classic in Kuala Lumpur.
Now three-under for the tournament, Weir, who opened with a 73, is seven shots off the lead.
Weir, who started on the back nine, went birdie-bogey-birdie on holes 11 through 13 and he was still one under when he made the turn before making three consecutive birdies on holes five through seven.
Weir is the only Canadian left in the field after Graham DeLaet withdrew on Thursday.
