Toronto’s Rebecca Lee-Bentham, the 2010 Canadian Junior champion and 2011 Canadian Amateur winner, will play this week’s CP Women’s Open at Priddis Greens in Calgary, where she will bring the curtain down on her regular tour career at the age of 24.
Lee-Bentham turned pro at the age of 19 after her freshman year at the University of Texas at Austin and made it to the LPGA Tour immediately after tying for ninth at Q-school, where she returned the following year to tie for first.
This year, she’s been playing the Symetra Tour, where uncertainty and expenses have caused her to rethink her future, including a possible return to school.
