Canadians at or near the top of the leaderboard is quickly becoming a tradition at the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Miss.
Nick Taylor of Abbotsford, B.C., is defending champion this week after winning it in 2014, just a few tournaments into his rookie year. You can hear a conversation Taylor had with Hutch earlier this week about defending in Jackson here.
Another guy from Abbotsford positioned himself nicely as Adam Hadwin fired a seven-under 65 on Thursday. He’s tied for fourth in the first round, which was suspended due to darkness.
Hadwin, who was three shots off the lead at that point, completed his round with nine birdies and two bogeys,
Just a shot behind him was Graham DeLaet, who was tied for sixth after a six-under 66, a round that included eight birdies and a double bogey.
Taylor shot a three-under 69, which left him in a tie for 42nd.
The leaderboard is here.
