Two Canadians are in the top 10 after the first round of the WebDotCom Tour’s Chile Classic in Santiago, Chile.
Roger Sloan of Merritt, B.C., shot a six-under 66, which included a hole in one on the par three 11th hole at the Prince of Wales Country Club, to leave Sloan tied for sixth going into Friday’s second round, just two shots off the lead.
Just a shot back of Sloan is Adam Hadwin of Abbotsford, B.C., who had four birdies on the front nine and added three more on the back, which also included a couple of bogeys to leave Hadwin a five under.
Hadwin opened the season with a T8 finish in Colombia.
Just a shot behind Hadwin in a tie for 16th is Devin Carrey of Surrey, B.C.
