Brock Mackenzie of Yakima, Washington prevailed in a marathon seven-hole playoff over Spain’s Samuel Del Val and Adam Cornelson of Langley, B.C., on Sunday to win the National Capital Open to Support Our Troops, securing his third career Mackenzie Tour–PGA Tour Canada win.
The win, which came after a final round three-under 68 and then a birdie on the seventh extra hole, moves Mackenzie to second on the Order of Merit with three events remaining.

Calgary’s Ryan Yip finished with a four-under 67 at the News Sentinel Open in Knoxville, Tenn., where he tied for eighth.
Yip finished at nine under, with Adam Svensson of Surrey, B.C., two shots back at 17 under after he also finished with a 67.
Svensson tied for 12th.

Adam Hadwin finished the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, N.C., with a one-under 69 to tie for 33rd at nine under over all four rounds.
