Brad Fritsch of Manotick, Ont., and Mackenzie Hughes of Dundas, Ont., have officially graduated to the PGA Tour for next season.
Fritsch finished 14 on the Web .com Tour money list, while Hughes was 17th. Both were tournament winners this year. The top 25 on the money list prior to the Web .com playoffs move up.
The playoffs begin Sept. 8-11 at the DAP Championship in Beachwood, Ohio.
Fritsch and Hughes, who will be looking to upgrade their status on the PGA Tour, will be joined by Roger Sloan of Merritt, B.C., who finished 49th on the money list, Adam Svensson of Surrey, B.C., (59th) and Toronto’s Albin Choi (69th) in the playoffs.
Taylor Pendrith of Richmond Hill, Ont., (96th) and Calgary’s Ryan Yip (99th) get a direct pass to the second stage of Web .com Q-school.

In the final event before the playoffs, Ben Silverman of Thornhill, Ont., led the Canadians at the WinCo Foods Portland Open, tying for 26th at eight under after firing a final round 66 on Sunday.

David Hearn and Adam Hadwin have advanced to the top 100 in FedEx Cup standings who will play this week’s Deutsche Bank Championship in Boston.
Hearn tied for 53rd in the first event of the FedEx Cup playoffs, the Barclays at Bethpage Black, while Hadwin tied for 64th.
Graham DeLaet, who tied for 78th at Bethpage Black, bows out of the playoffs.

Stephen Ames shot a final round, one under 71 to tie for sixth at the Boeing Classic in Snoqualmie, Wash.
Ames finished the three-round event three back at 10 under.
