Derek Gillespie of Oshawa, Ont., won the Mandarin Tour Championship on Thursday in Niagara Falls, Ont.
Gillespie was in a three-way tie with Eric Hawerchuk and Matthew McMahon after the second day at four under, and shot a four-under 68 in the final round to win by one over Lucas Kim.
Gillespie had one bogey and five birdies on the day to finish all three rounds at eight under and took home a cheque for $10,000 for the win.

Weather ended the first round of the BMW Championship prematurely, with David Hearn through 16 holes at three over.
Hearn was tied for 61st when play ended on Thursday.

Brad Fritsch of Manotick, Ont., shot an opening round, one-under 71 and is tied for 56th at the Small Business Connection Championship at River Run.
Roger Sloan of Merritt, B.C., shot an even par 72.
