David Hearn vaulted 39 spots up the leaderboard at the Arnold Palmer Invitational after he shot a five-under 67 in Friday’s second round at Bay Hill.
Hearn posted four birdies, an eagle and one bogey to move into a tie for 11th at six under going into the weekend. By the end of Friday, he was seven shots off the lead held by 2015 RBC Canadian Open champion Jason Day.
Adam Hadwin will also play the weekend after posting an even par 72 on Friday, which left him tied for 36th at three under.

Stephen Ames is also tied for 11th after the first round of the Tucson Conquistadores Classic in which he shot a three-under 69 that included six birdies and three bogeys.
Ames goes into the second round four shots off the lead.
Rod Spittle shot an even par 72.

The second round of the Chitimacha Louisiana Open was suspended due to inclement weather with Justin Shin of Maple Ridge, B.C., the top Canadian in a tie for 37th at five under.
Shin was three under through four holes when play was called for the day.
Mackenzie Hughes of Dundas, Ont. was just a shot behind Shin after completing his second round, a five-under 66.
