With the second round suspended for the day at the PHC Classic in Milwaukee, Augusta James of Bath, Ont., is tied for second, just one shot off the lead at the Symetra Tour event.
James finished the first round with a five-under 67, then added a 71 to go into the third and final round at six under.
Elizabeth Tong of Thornhill, Ont., Samantha Richdale of Kelowna, B.C., and Anne-Catherine Tanguay of Quebec City were tied for 12th when play was called for the day. Of those three, only Tong had finished her second round.

Calgary’s Ryan Yip is tied for seventh at the News Sentinel Open on the Web .com Tour after he fired a third round, five-under 66 in Knoxville, Tenn., on Saturday.
Yip is 15 under going into Sunday’s final round, two shots up on Adam Svensson of Surrey, B.C., who shot a 65 on Saturday and is tied for 13th.

Adam Hadwin fired a four-under 66 to move into a tie for 25th at the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, N.C.
Hadwin goes into the Sunday’s final round at eight under.

Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour Canada
Jonathan Khan of Tucscon, Az., shot a nine-under 62 on Saturday at Hylands Golf Club in Ottawa to share the 54-hole lead with Manav Shah of Bakersfield, Calif., at the National Capital Open to Support Our Troops.
Khan reached 15-under through three rounds thanks to nine birdies and no bogeys, while Shah bogeyed two of his final three holes to drop into a tie for the lead as he finished the day with a 71.
One shot behind Shah and Khan are Spain’s Samuel Del Val, who shot a seven-under 64, and Adam Cornelson of Langley, who finished with a 70.
“I’ll take this position going into tomorrow. I’m a little disappointed in how I played today but to have a chance to play for the win (Sunday) is all I can ask,” said Cornelson.
