A couple of Canadians are in the top 10 going into the weekend at the Symetra Tour’s Garden City Charity Classic, including Vancouver’s Jessica Wallace, who is just a shot off the lead in a tie for third.
Wallace shot a second consecutive two-under 70 in the second round to push her total to four under.
Angela Buzminksi of Oshawa, Ont., shot an even par 72 to stay at one under in a tie for ninth.
Maude-Aimee Leblanc of Sherbrooke, Que., is tied for 14th, while Sara-Maude Juneau of Fossambault-sur-le-lac, Que., and Samantha Richdale of Kelowna, B.C. are tied for 19th.

At the Evian Championship in France, the last major of the year on the LPGA Tour, Hamilton’s Alena Sharp missed the cut. Brittany Lincicome leads at 10 under.

Adam Hadwin, who won last week’s Chiquita Classic, is the leading Canadian at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship in Columbus Ohio, the third event of the Web .com Finals. Hadwin shot a one-over 72 and is tied for 43rd at one over.
Roger Sloan of Merritt, B.C., is tied for 54th at two over, while Nick Taylor of Abbotsford, B.C., and Brad Fritsch of Manotick, Ont., missed the cut.
