Corey Conners of Listowel, Ont., made a move up the leaderboard and the projected Web.com Tour Finals money list as he shot a three-under 67 in Friday’s second round of the DAP Championship in Beachwood, Ohio.
Conners joined Roger Sloan of Merritt, B.C., who shot an even par 70 on Friday, in a tie for 12th at four under, four shots off the lead.
They are the only two Canadians who will play the weekend at the DAP Championship, the third event in the four-tournament Web.com Tour Finals.
Going into the third round, Conners is 13th in projected standings, while Sloan is 18th. The top five after next week’s Tour Championship graduate to the PGA Tour next week.
Adam Hadwin shot a three-under 67 in the second round of the Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta and goes into the weekend tied for 18th.
At the midway point of the tournament, Hadwin is at two under, five shots off the lead.

PGA Tour Champions
At the Pure Insurance Championship at Pebble Beach, Stephen Ames opened with a one-under 70 that left him tied for 26th going into Saturday’s second round.
Rod Spittle shot a 73 and is tied for 57th.

Anne-Catherine Tanguay of Quebec City, Anna Young of Saskatoon and Brittany Marchand of Orangeville, Ont., each shot even par 72s to open the Guardian Championship in Prattville, Ala.
All three are tied for 41st going into Saturday’s second round.
