Stephen Ames shot his second consecutive three-under 67 in Saturday’s third round of the Charles Schwab Cup Championship in Scottsdale, Az., and is tied for third going into Sunday’s finale.
After a wild round that included an eagle, a double bogey, two bogeys and five birdies, Ames goes into the final round four shots behind leader Michael Allen.

There isn’t much more to report on the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Miss., where play was suspended once again with 76 players yet to complete their second rounds.
With a Monday finish on the horizon, defending champion Nick Taylor is tied for eighth at nine under.
Adam Hadwin got through two holes of his second round at even par before play was called. He’s tied for 15th at seven under, with Graham DeLaet at six under in a tie for 22nd.

Edmonton’s Wil Bateman fell out of a tie for first into a tie for 10th at the 110 VISA Open de Argentina in Buenos Aires, where he shot a five-over 75 in the third round on Saturday.
At three under, Bateman is seven shots off the lead.
Corey Conners of Listowel, Ont., shot a one-under 69 on Saturday and is tied for 19th at even par. Peter Campbell of Baddeck, N.S., is tied for 50th.
