Stephen Ames had his highest finish on the PGA Tour in two years, tying for 16th at the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio on Sunday.
It was the highest placing for Ames since also tying for 16th at the 2012 Mayakoba Golf Classic.
Ames, who is being inducted into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame this year, finished with a two-over 74 to leave him at one-under for the tournament. He turns 50 in less than a month and is expected to see play on both the PGA Tour and Champions Tour.
Mike Weir tied for 56th in San Antonio after he also shot a final round 74.
