A pair of double bogeys on his final two holes dropped Roger Sloan of Merritt, B.C., out of the lead and into a fifth place finish at the United Leasing and Finance Championship in Newburgh, Ind.
Sloan, who shot a seven-under 65 on Saturday to move into a tie for fifth, two shots off the lead, went on to the 17th hole on Sunday with another seven-under going and in the lead at 14 under.
Sloan made the turn at five under and made his third consecutive birdie on 10 before his first bogey of the day on 11. He bounced right back with consecutive birdies on the 12th and 13th holes before putting up the double bogeys on 17 and 18.
After his three-under 69, Sloan finished at 10 under, two shots off the winning score. It was his second consecutive fifth place finish after he had a T5 at the El Bosque Mexico Championship the previous week.

The streak is over as Brooke Henderson finished in a tie for 19th at the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout.
That ends a run of nine consecutive top-10 finishes, eight of them on the LPGA Tour, for Henderson, who shot an even par 71 in Sunday’s final round in Irving, Tx., after a day that included four birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey.
Henderson finished the tournament at three under.

The Zurich Classic of New Orleans will have a Monday finish, with the event shorted to 54 holes as heavy rain saturated TPC of Louisiana on Sunday.
David Hearn is tied for 14th at eight under, five shots off the lead. Hearn was four under through 13 when play ended. Adam Hadwin was one under through 10 and tied for 50th at four under.
