At the midway point of the Bridgestone America’s Golf Cup in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the Canadian team of Peter Campbell of Baddeck, N.S., and Devin Carrey of Burnaby, B.C., are tied for 17th at 12 under, seven shots off the lead after their second consecutive 65 on Friday.
Featuring teams from the PGA Tour, PGA Tour Latinoamérica and PGA Tour Canada, the event is a four-round, four ball event including 36 teams.
The other Canadian team of Vancouver’s Ryan Williams and Michael Gligic of Burlington, Ont., are a shot back of Campbell and Carrey after shooting an identical 65 on Friday.
Nick Taylor shifted into reverse at the McGladrey Classic on the PGA Tour, where he opened with a three-over 73, only to come back on Friday with a four-under 66.
At one-under, he’s tied for 52nd with Adam Hadwin, who shot a one-under 69 on Friday.
Both are eight off the lead going into the weekend.
Roger Sloan missed the cut in his first start as a full-time member of the PGA Tour.

On the Champions Tour, Stephen Ames shot a first round, even par 72 at the AT&T Championship in San Antonio, where he’s tied for 44th, one shot ahead of Rod Spittle.
