Graham DeLaet of Weyburn, Sask., and Victoria’s Stuart Anderson are heading to next week’s World Cup qualifier at Estonian Golf and Country Club in Manniva Village, Estonia.
The 72-hole stroke play event which begins next Thursday is a best ball format on days one and three and foursomes on days two and four.
A minimum of three teams will qualify for the Omega Mission Hills World Cup to be held at the Mission Hills Golf Club in China, Nov. 26 – 29.
DeLaet will make his second consecutive appearance at the qualifier. Last year, he partnered Calgary’s Wes Heffernan through the qualifier and in the main event where they tied for 14th.
DeLaet has won two Canadian Tour events this year, which also included top fives on the South African Sunshine Tour. He has since move inside the top 175 in the World Rankings.
DeLaet also earned an exemption into second stage of PGA Tour qualifying school with his first place finish on the Canadian Tour’s Order of Merit.
Following the qualifier, DeLaet will leave for the European Tour’s Alfred Dunhill Cup at St. Andrews where he has earned a sponsor’s exemption.
Anderson won his third Canadian Tour title at the 2009 Desjardins Montreal Open. With three additional top five finishes, Anderson is third on the Canadian Tour’s Order of Merit and qualified based on his position.
