TaylorMade Golf Canada will transform the Royal Bank Plaza in Toronto into a driving range for its Speed Pocket World Challenge next Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Hosted by Golf Town, the Speed Pocket World Challenge will allow golfers to compete in a global exhibition against those from three other cities, including London, New York and San Francisco.
The SpeedBlade six iron contest is open to the public and will allow golfers to post their scores. A global scoreboard will track each individual’s distance in competition against golfers on similar ranges in the other cities.
There will be local winners in each market and one international Speed Pocket World Champion.
Those who attend the event will swing a conventional 6-iron against the new TaylorMade SpeedBlade 6-iron featuring Speed Pocket technology.
Distance gains with the Speed Pocket will be measured by FlightScope and posted on the global leaderboard.
In Toronto, free SpeedBlade six irons will be distributed to the first 500 participants. In addition, every Canadian will have the opportunity to enter and win one of 2,500 SpeedBlade 6-irons by visiting the Golf Town website, March 6-17.
The Royal Bank Plaza is located at 200 Bay St. in Toronto.
