Storms moved in once again on Friday in Sao Paulo, Brazil, but they didn’t get there in time to dampen Toronto’s Albin Choi before the second round was suspended at the Brasil Champions event on the WebDotCom Tour.
Choi finished the day with four birdie and an eagle against just one bogey for a five under 66 that rocketed him up the leaderboard into a tie for 18th at seven under. Heading into the weekend, Choi is 10 shots off the lead at the Sao Paulo Golf Club.
Adam Hadwin, the winner of last week’s Chile Classic, finished off his first round with a 65 after storms ended his day prematurely on Thursday, but followed up with a second round 73 and is tied with fellow Canadian MacKenzie Hughes among others for 53rd at four under.
