Jessica Shepley of Oakville, Ont., had the round of the day in the fourth round of LPGA Tour qualifying school on Saturday at LPGA International, near Daytona Beach, Fla.
The 2009 Canadian PGA Women’s champion shot a six-under 66 to move from a tie for 69th into a tie for 33rd heading into Sunday’s final round.
Meanwhile, Stephanie Sherlock of Barrie, Ont., made a big jump herself from a tie for 53rd into a tie for 27th after shooting a four-under 68. Adrienne White of Red Deer, Alta., is also tied for 27th after going one-over on Saturday.
The top 20 finishers at the end of Q-school earn their full cards for 2011. With White and Sherlock at two-over after four rounds and Shepley at three-over, those in 20th on the leaderboard were at even par.
