A couple of Canadians are within three shots of the lead at this week’s Web.com Tour stop, with plenty of golf left to be played.
Should either Adam Svensson of Surrey, B.C., or Ben Silverman of Thornhill, Ont., be victorious on Sunday, that player would be the second consecutive Canadian to win the Price Cutter Charity Championship in Springfield, Mo.
Mackenzie Hughes of Dundas, Ont., now playing on the PGA Tour, won in Springfield in 2016, but that event was delayed by weather earlier in the tournament this year, so both Svensson and Silverman have yet to complete their third rounds.
Both were tied for 11th at 12 under when play was called due to darkness on Saturday.
After firing a nine under 63 in the second round, Silverman was one under through four holes, while Svensson, who shot a second round 65, was five under through 12 holes of his third round when play was called Saturday.
