The Movado Group of Canada will serve as the official timepiece of the Canadian PGA and a partner in the association’s centennial celebrations this year.
The Movado group has put together a personal and facility program in which PGA professionals can purchase timepieces from a variety of Movado brands with their facility logo on it to provide as gifts for various events.
“This is a great partnership that encompasses a variety of opportunities for both the PGA professional and Movado,” said Canadian PGA Executive Director Gary Bernard.
“We are excited to welcome this great collection of timepiece brands as a national partner and we know that their presence at the centennial will add to the festivities as well,” added Canadian PGA President Glenn Cundari.
Movado Group designs, manufactures and distributes watches from brands such as Movado, Esq by Movado and licensed watch brands Hugo Boss, Lacoste and Tommy Hilfiger.
“As we embark on our new partnership with the Canadian PGA, we feel that our company has truly been matched with the likes of a great organization and a devoted group of talented individuals,” said Gino DeVuono, vice president of sales.
“Having an appreciation for golf in Canada, we recognize the value of the work and dedication of the golf professional,” he added.
As part of the Centennial Celebrations in 2011, Movado will feature a countdown clock on both the Canadian PGA centennial website and at the Centennial Gala Dinner on July 11 at the Hilton Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, Que.
