The number of Canadians taking part in LPGA Tour qualifying school has been reduced by one after three-time national amateur champion Lisa Meldrum of Montreal pulled out.
Qualifying gets underway Wednesday at LPGA International near Daytona Beach.
Meldrum, a rookie on tour in 2010, had her best finish of the season on the weekend at the LPGA Tour Championship in Orlando, where she was 32nd. The $10,944 she earned there left Meldrum in 105th on the tour money list, a position that get her entry into 144-player events in 2011.
Meldrum tied for fifth at Q-school last year.
