Jeff Maggert struck for five birdies on the last six holes of the front nine and finished with a six-under 64 in the final round of the Shaw Charity Classic in Calgary to win by four shots over Colin Montgomerie.
Maggert finished the day with seven birdies and one bogey at Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club in claiming his third victory of the Champions Tour season, which has also included major championships at the Regions Tradition and U.S. Senior Open.
Maggert, who started the day two behind the leaders, finished at 16 under, six ahead of Canadian Stephen Ames, who shot a three-under 67 on Sunday to tie for fifth at 10 under.
It was Ames’ fourth top 10 finish of the season.
Rod Spittle tied for 12th at eight under after closing with a 65 on Sunday.

Shane Lowry won the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio, by two shots over Bubba Watson on Sunday.
