For the first time since coming under the PGA Tour umbrella in 2013, the Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour Canada will play an event in Quebec at the Mackenzie Investments Open at Les Quatres Domaines Golf Club outside of Montreal.
That event will be operated by Circuit Canada Pro Tour, which manages a series of pro tournaments in Ontario and Quebec, and it will have RBC Canadian Open implications.
The top three from the tour’s Order of Merit following this week’s event wil earn exemptions into next week’s Canadian Open at Glen Abbey in Oakville, Ont.
Every player currently inside the top 11 on that list has a chance to earn one of those exemptions. Also, players four through 15 on the Order of Merit will earn exemptions into the Canadian Open Monday qualifier at Heron Point, near Hamilton.
