Should Maude-Aimee Leblanc of Sherbrooke, Que., hold on to the lead at the Symetra Tour Championship after Sunday’s final round, she is projected to finished ninth on the money list, which would earn her a graduation to the LPGA Tour.
The top 10 on the final money list as of Sunday earn the promotion.
Leblanc came into the Tour Championship in 21st place with $25,229 and a victory would earn her $22,500 for a season’s total of $47,729.
Sara-Maude Juneau of Fossambault-sur-le-lac, Que., and Nicole Vandermade of Brantford, Ont., need to pick up their paces in Sunday’s concluding round.
Juneau is currently tied for seventh, which would earn her $4,448. That would put her at one short of the top 10 at 11th on the money list with $40,986.
Vandermade is also tied for seventh and the $4,448 she would win would put her 15th on the money list with $36,344.
“It’s fun, it has been a while since I have been in this position,” said Leblanc.
Hamilton’s Alena Sharp and Sue Kim of Langley, B.C., are tied for 50th at the Yokohama Classic in Alabama.
