GolfBC has begun its fourth annual Free Lesson Month at all nine of its courses across British Columbia.
From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday in May, Canadian PGA instructors from the Golf B.C. Golf Academy will provide 10-minute swing tips to all guests. Since being launched in 2006, more than 700 guests have taken part in Free Lesson Month, which also includes complimentary practice balls and equipment.
“Free Lesson Month fits perfectly with GolfBC’s philosophy of growing the game and our belief that every golfer can improve and have more fun with their golf games,” said Andy Hedley, vice president of operations for GolfBC, adding the Lesson Program is just one of several such initiatives.
The Kids Play Free at GolfBC program allows junior golfers aged 16 and under to play free on any of its courses when accompanied by a paying adult.
All of GolfBC’s courses are certified as beginner friendly by the National Golf Course Owners Association, meaning they have proven themselves to be welcoming to new golfers through clinics, rental clubs, programs and special playing times for beginners.
