Galvin Green has made its first Canadian signing with the addition of Toronto’s Rebecca Lee-Bentham, who will make her 2013 LPGA Tour debut in the company’s multi-layer collection early next month.
“I can’t wait to try out the 2013 spring/summer Collection. When it comes to clothing I like bright colours and I like to stand out,” said Lee-Bentham, who will start the season at the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open, Feb. 9-12.
“The LPGA Tour is an all-season tour and you have to come to each event prepared to play in any type of weather,” said Lee-Bentham, who tied for first at the tour’s qualifying school last month.
“I really love the multi-layering concept of the collection. Galvin Green offers a full range of high-tech garments designed to match and function in combination that will allow me to feel and play at my best in all weather conditions,” she said.
“We are very excited to welcome Rebecca Lee-Bentham to Team Galvin Green,” said CEO Christian Nilsson.
“Rebecca is a young, promising talent and we look forward to watching her grow and mature as a competitive force on the LPGA Tour,” added Nilsson.
Lee-Bentham, whose rookie year on Tour took place in 2011, was the 2010 Canadian junior champion and 2011 national amateur champion.
“Rebecca is one of the rising Canadian stars on the LPGA Tour so to partner with her is a terrific opportunity for both Galvin Green and Rebecca to showcase our products and her talents on the world stage,” added Galvin Green Canada president Jonathan Wong.
