Over 600 golf courses across Canada will be participating in next week’s Take A Kid to the Course Week, developed by the National Golf Course Owners Association Canada.
The program was designed to encourage families and juniors to take up the game and to illustrate how to improve scores and your relationship with your children on the golf course.
“Golf provides kids with valuable life skills, such as perseverance, patience, and respect,” said Jeff Calderwood, executive director of the NGCOA.
“They will enjoy quality time with family and friends and experience an activity that takes them away from the computer and into the great outdoors,” he added.
The program will run this year from July 6-12 and several prizes are available, such as a trip for two to the Swan and Dolphin Hotel at Walt Disney World, including round-trip airfare from Westjet, from Merit Golf Vacations and equipment from TaylorMade-adidas Golf Canada.
