Canadians took the term “moving day” seriously in Saturday’s third round of the JTBC Founders Cup in Phoenix as Brooke Henderson moved into the top 10 with a seven-under 65 that included nine birdies and two bogeys.
Henderson, 18, goes into the final round at 14 under. Her low round of 2016 moved her from a tie for 25th into a tie for eighth, three shots off the lead. Henderson came to Phoenix with four consecutive top 10 finishes behind her.
Hamilton’s Alena Sharp did some moving of her own as she started the day in a tie for 64th, but finished in a tie for 23rd after a bogey-free 64 on Saturday that included six birdies and an eagle to move to 11 under after three rounds.
Maude-Aimee Leblanc is at five under after she shot a two-under 70 on Saturday.
