Due to heavy overnight rain and flooding in the area around Country Hills Golf Club in Calgary, the fourth round of the ATB Financial Classic has been cancelled.
England’s Charlie Bull, who carried a two-shot lead heading into Sunday, earned his first Mackenzie Tour victory, with the weather-shortened 54-hole event counting as an official win towards the season-long Order of Merit.
“Due to more than two inches of overnight rain and the flooding in the area, much of the golf course has been rendered unplayable and we were forced to cancel round four,” said Jeff Monday, president of the Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour Canada.
“Our thanks and appreciation go to Country Hills superintendent Scott MacArthur and the golf course maintenance staff for their efforts in trying to make the course playable today and congratulations to Charlie Bull on earning his first Mackenzie Tour victory,” he added.
