Now that he’s graduated from first alternate to playing the British Open, David Hearn will play the first two rounds with a couple of past winners.
Hearn tees off at 10:10 a.m. local time with Sir Nick Faldo, a three-time champion, and Todd Hamilton, who won in 2004. That same trio will go at 3:11 p.m. on Friday.
Hearn replaces 1989 winner Mark Calcavecchia who withdrew reportedly due to travel issue. For the official announcement of Hearn’s inclusion, click here.
Graham DeLaet is the other Canadian in the field at Royal Liverpool. DeLaet tees off at 12:54 local time with 2014 RBC Canadian Open winner Brandt Snedeker and amateur Cheung-tsung Pan. That group goes at 7:53 a.m. on Friday.
