Derek Gillespie of Oshawa, Ont., defeated Brian Cooper of the United States 2 up in the match play portion of the Golf Channel’s Big Break Invitational Reynolds Plantation and will play in the final for $100,000 on Friday.
The final will be stroke play against five other men and six women who are playing at 85 per cent of the distance that the men play.

One other Canadian who will be in Friday’s final is Julien Trudeau, who will be on the bag for his new bride, Mallory Blackwelder, on Friday.
