Graham DeLaet of Weyburn, Sask., will miss the early part of the PGA Tour season after he has surgery for a herniated disc on Monday.
DeLaet suffered from a bulging disc for most of last season, but it became herniated late in the year. After several weeks of exercise and therapy, he was advised to proceed with the surgery and will require about eight weeks of rehab.
DeLaet finished his rookie season as the top Canadian on the tour money list with $950,000 in earnings, good for 100th spot. His best finish was a tie for third at the Shell Houston Open.
