England’s Kelvin Day and Erik Barnes of Kalamazoo, Mich. share the 36-hole lead at the SIGA Dakota Dunes Open in Saskatoon,
Day carded a 10-under 62, tied for the low round of the day, while Barnes birdied his final four holes of the day to shoot 63, with both players ending the day at 11-under through two rounds.
The duo led by two over first round leader Drew Stoltz and Michigan’s Matt Harmon going into the weekend.
Day’s has turned it around since a rough start on Thursday, when he was four over for his first 12 holes. Since then, he’s had 15 birdies with no bogeys.
David Byrne of Essex, Ont., shot a bogey-free, four-under 68 on Friday and is tied for sixth at six under, five shots off the lead.
