Chip Beck put an exclamation mark on his first round with an eagle on his final hole of the day as he finished up a seven-under 65 to take the lead at Quebec Championship on Friday.
Beck, who turns 58 next week, is gunning for his first win on the Champions Tour. He leads Duffy Waldorf and Craig Thomas, who came through qualifying, by one shot.
Canadians Jim Rutledge and Yvan Beauchemin are tied for 42nd at one-under, with Remi Bouchard a shot back of them.
