CBC Sports has signed a three-year deal with the Royal Canadian Golf Association to broadcast the CN Canadian Women’s Open.
CBC will air all four rounds of this year’s Open which will be played in September at Priddis Greens Golf and Country Club near Calgary.
“With the LPGA more competitive than ever, we are proud to have the opportunity to present this marquee event to Canadians for the next three years,” said Scott Moore, executive director for CBC Sports.
Scott Simmons, executive director of the Royal Canadian Golf Association, pointed out that the coverage will also have an online component at CBCSports.ca.
“CBC is long renowned as a cultural institution in sports broadcasting and we look forward to working in partnership over the next three years to elevate the profile of the CN Canadian Women’s Open to thousands of Canadian golf fans from coast to coast,” said Simmons.
