Justin Shin of Maple Ridge, B.C., was tied for second at six under going into the weekend at the Ping An Private Bank Wanda Open after he shot a four-under 68 in Friday’s second round at the PGA Tour China event.
At six under, Shin was two shots off the lead.
Vancouver’s Eugene Wong was tied for 29th at one over.

Graham DeLaet went back one point on the Modified Stableford scoring system being used at the Barracuda Championship in Reno, Nev.
DeLaet finished Friday’s round with two birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey to leave him with eight points at the midway point of the tournament.

Modified Stableford Scoring Points Structure
The Barracuda Championship being played in Reno, Nev., is the only PGA Tour event to use the Modified Stableford Scoring System, which uses the following points structure:
Double Eagle: 8 points
Eagle: 5 points
Birdie: 2 points
Par: 0 points
Bogey: -1 point
Double Bogey or more: -3 points
Vancouver’s Jessica Wallace opened in the top 10 at the Tullymore Classic in Canadian Lakes, Mich., where she shot a first round, three under 69, which left tied for eighth going into the weekend.
