The Canadian team of Ryan Williams of Vancouver and Michael Gligic of Burlington, Ont., save the best for last, finishing with a final round 62 at the Bridgestone America’s Golf Cup in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
That still left the Williams and Gligic tied for 25th at 22 under at the four-round, four ball event among 36 teams, one shot ahead of another Canadian team consisting of Peter Campbell of Baddeck, N.S., and Devin Carrey of Burnaby, B.C., who finished with a 67.
On the Champions Tour, Rod Spittle had a four-hole run on the back nine at the AT&T Championship in San Antonio that saw him go birdie, double bogey, bogey, bogey to finish with a one-over 73.
Spittle tied for 33rd at three under, followed in a tie for 47th at even par by Stephen Ames, who finished with a one-under 71 on Sunday.
