With weather delays from earlier in the week pushing back play, round four of Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour Canada Q-school in began Friday afternoon in Port St. Lucie, Fla., and was suspended due to darkness at 7:33 p.m. ET.
Play will resume Saturday morning at 8 a.m. with American amateur Matthew Nesmith at 12 under, holding a two shot lead over Chris Hemmerich of Kitchener, Ont., and fellow American Alexander Medinis.
Hemmerich shot a three-under 69 in the third round.
The first-place finisher after four rounds receives exempt status, while second through 16th (no ties) will be exempt through the tour’s first reshuffle. The 17th through 40th finishers, including ties, will receive conditional status.
